NOVOL is very simple and fast to install, simply follow steps 1 through 6 below

STEP 1

  1. Determine the height of frame and select the risers required.
  2. Determine the width of frame and select the steel bars required.

 Install the locking riser on the left side of the window frame.
( if the riser is shorter than the frame height, make sure you center it )

- To install on a wood or aluminium frame use the screws supplied.
- For installation on a PVC frame we recommend thet you use longer screws through the frame and the wall structure.

STEP 31

Install the other riser on the right side of the frame. ( align the height with the left riser )

STEP 4

The steel bars shoud be cut half an inch SHORTER than the width of the frame.

STEP 5

In most cases, the NOVOL system is supplied with a reinforced central bar. This will increase the resistance of the system.

1Slide the PVC covered steel bars into the holes of central bar, center them and tighten the screws. Cover each hole with the screw caps supplied.

Insert the bar assembly in the hole of the riser to the right. You should now be able to insert into the left riser effortlessly. Turn the key to lock the assembly into place. ( always make sure that the screw caps on the central bar faces you )

Teach your children how to unlock and remove the bars in case of emergency.

STEP 6

1 Remove the protecting tape and stick the key box on a clean, smooth surface.

Be sure to place the box so it opens downwards as shown. This will prevent the key from falling when opened.

The key box should be installed in the proximity of the installation and be readily accessible for everyone inside, but far enough from the window that it is not easily seen and grabbed through the bars.

Show your children where the key is and teach them how to unlock and remove the bars in case of an emergency
   

Measurements are taken from inside the frame.
A frame of 2 ½" deep is required to install the system.
